Sustainable Development :How Simkha Biocosmetics achieve 17 goals of the United Nations

The United Nations have come up with 17 goals of Sustainable Development to make our world a better place for living. We are proud to announce that Simkha adheres to 16 of these goals.In this article, we present to you what we do to achieve the goal and how are contributing by purchasing our products.
Goal 1. No Poverty
- We buy organic ingredients from family suppliers in Benin and Ghana. The other ingredients come from our Canadian supplier who is Fair Trade certified and through a local cooperative.
Goal 2. Zero Hunger
- Simkha supports fair trade and buys the ingredients from family-owned local and African suppliers.
Goal 3. Good health and Well-being
- We only use organic ingredients in our products. In addition, we offer skin-care workshops and personalized skin-care sessions, as well as coaching sessions at home.
Goal 4. Quality Education
Simkha collaborates with 2 universities in Montreal and train interns.
Goal 5. Gender Equality
The owner of Simkha Christel Muriel Sedo is a woman who empowers other women.
Goal 6. Clean Water and Sanitation
Simkha uses water only in 5% of its products. We do not waste water when we manufacturer the products.
Goal 7. Affordable and Clean Energy:
We use only energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.
Goal 8. Decent work and economic growth
We provide work opportunities for youth.
Goal 9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
We stay at the top of innovation and keep on looking for technologies that will make our products even more eco-friendly.
Goal 10. Reduced Inequalities
We provide job opportunities for immigrants.
Goal 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
We carefully develop the logistic of our deliveries to minimize our carbon footprint.
Goal 12. Responsible consumption and production
Simkha gave up the unnecessary wrapping. We use only essential containers made from glass and recyclable plastic. We are currently participating in a challenge to make our containers reusable by May 2021. Learn more …
Goal 13. Climate action
We support the anti-global warming movement by using clean technologies and clean energy. Our Rating of Eco-responsibility is 87% and we keep on improving.
Goal 14. Life below water
We do not use plastic bags, only paper and reusable ones.
Goal 15. Life on Land
We currently participate in the One Tree Planted Program. One dollar from each purchase is donated to One Tree Planted Canada (a non-profit organization). One dollar means one tree planted.

We invest money in innovation and development. We improve our products and packaging, and we empower our employees.
